2nd Picture: Back of dress
3rd picture: zipper (see description below)
Red sleeveless dress with pleated skirt and buttons up the back right. Fun vintage find; it's never fit me, so I hope someone tinier can get good wear out of it! Simple red matching belt included. Guessing, I'd say this dress is from the 1960s.
Brand: Youth Guild of NY
Condition: Vintage/ Good - One spot where zipper might need tacking back to dress is shown in last photo, but dress could be worn without this fix.
Size:X-Small/Small - I estimate a modern Size 2/4
Washing Instructions: Machine Wash Cold
Price: $12 or BO
"Youth Guild was founded in 1948. Their
best known designers were Anne Fogarty in the early years and, later,
Liz Claiborne in the 1960s and 1970s. Focused on the under-twenty crowd,
Youth Guild’s look was geared to the young with the classic 1950s look
of trim bodice, very full skirts, and variations on the little-girl look
of puffed sleeves and jumpers."
